Tea Label Illustration - Zafaron Iran

 

Zafaron wanted a custom Illustration to be used as part of there Packaging. They are a Tea brand based out of London and they decided upon using the image of King Cyrus. I proposed a golden statue of the King, but with emblematic style. Using references from Persian Art and History I illustrated the king with his famous crown and added in a styalized Farvahar (Royal bird icon). Behind the King is the famous Saffron Flower which has beautiful hues of purple and strong Reds. Below the king is the Tea billowing fresh Steam in a traditional Persian Glass used for Tea. The label is simple yet has strong Stylistic Illustration that helps convey their flavors and theme. The mandala behind the king in each label is a pedal mandala used as a reference to the flower pedals in each tea.
